Cochrane is the first Canadian to win Men's 400 m Freestyle in 72 years
Ryan Cochrane is the first Canadian to win Men's 400 m Freestyle in 72 years! Ryan Cochrane succeeded Robert Pirie who won Gold in the same event in 1938 in Sydney. The bronze went to David Carry from Scotland. Napolean Ryan Francis Kevin added to the Australian medal bag with a silver.
