Delhi gets Gold from CWG 210

Delhiites are the clear winners. What with smooth traffic on the roads where there are no CWG lanes. It’s after ages that we see such empty roads in South Delhi, where a lot of sporting venues are situated.
Thanks to all the preparations for the CWG considerable efforts have been made to remove blocks on roads to ensure smooth traffic flow. Also, the newly introduced Metro stations have shaken this part of Delhi from its slumber as commuters are seen tumbling out of pavements (from underground Metro stations) spilling out on the roads and huddling together at the entrances.

This is the Gold medal for Delhi from CWG 2010

Delhi sports a very clean look, with all schools and colleges being shut, driving around is a pleasure and on the roads with CWG traffic lanes, it’s an adventure!

Heard about the total lack of interest in Delhiites as far as being spectators after the opening ceremony. The CWG bosses are upset as there is NO ONE to see the athletes in action. Kalmadi it seems has promised to give out free tickets to school children and to people from ‘lower strata’ of society to fill in the venues. How conceited can officials be. As if the so called lower strata can cover up for your misdeeds.

How could have Delhiites become interested in actually seeing the games first of all, with no information about how and where to get tickets from. Also, in Delhi everyone believes that tickets for such events can only be available if you ‘know’ someone influential! Also, with such heavy security around the Stadia, it seems an uphill task to go and watch a sport.

Kalmadi says tickets will be sold at the venues now since people have been unable to get to the tickets. So, where else was he thinking of selling them in the first place!
