The opening ceremony has just begun and is spectacularly colorful…..a mixture of colors of blue and purple against the night sky. A welcome song by Hariharan with school children forming a grand ‘Namaste’ on the JLN stadium grounds and later painting feet and hands with ‘Mehendi’ Hena on giant pieces of white cloth.
People inside the stadium are screaming and clapping and it seems to have begun on the right note! The contingents of 71 countries, who made it finally, are just being led into the stadium amid loud cheers.
It definitely is a proud moment for India.Thanks to All who made it happen.
